Amsterdam

Hello Everyone,

First of all I hope that everyone liked my first blogpost about Paris. In this second blogpost I want to tell something about my experience in Amsterdam. Yesterday my friend and I went to the concert of Jason Derülo, before the concert we had a nice day in Amsterdam even though it rained in the city.

The first shop we visited, called Louise is located at Hazenstraat 18, Amsterdam. It’s all about contrast. Although age is nothing but a number, it can stand out when measured up against experience, drive and the knowledge of the right fabrics in co-existence with unique classical inspired designs. In the case of Liz Louise it is this combination which produces unique quality and is the essence of her label. Louise has different collections such as Fall, Spring/Summer and Yeez Louise. I personally thought it was an unique store with several designs that caught my eye, like the sweater I bought. Come and visit them at their boutique or shop online. Their website is louise-collection.com , at the mid of February there new collection will be available.

After shopping at the Louise boutique, we had lunch at Café George in Amsterdam. Inside Café George it felt like we were in a french bistro. As lunch I chose the club sandwich, it was presented delightfully. Stop by Café George for an iconic Steak Frites, shooting Gin & Tonic or a sandwich. It is a great place for a daily rendez-vous. The address is Leidsegracht 84, Amsterdam.

My friend and I wanted to see the new beauty section at the Bijenkorf. Discover their new collection with top brands such as Acne Studios, Zoe Karssen and a lot more. The beauty section has brands like Armani, Tom Ford, Givenchy which you can’t buy everywhere. I bought myself the intense velvet color lipgloss, lip maestro 402, an orange red color. It is a real must have for beauty lovers, because it gives the effect of a matte lipstick but with an uncommon brilliance. The Bijenkorf has always been my all time favorite department store in the Netherlands. The Bijenkorf is located in the heart of Amsterdam, Dam 1.

We had dinner at Frietboutique, an acquaintance of us runs this place. It is a combination of two concepts the Frietboutique combined with the IJsboutique. We had to eat something quick before the concert , we had some fries with different Dutch snacks. The Frietboutique is situated in a charming neighborhood with different restaurants like le Pain Quotidien and next to the Frietboutique there is an amazing vintage store called V.I.N.T.A.G.E. store byDanie, which is runned by the incredible stylist Danie Bles and her mom. If you like to checkout the Frietboutique, you should go to Johannes Verhulststraat 107, Amsterdam. The other stores are a few steps away from the Frietboutique.

In the evening after dinner, we had the concert of Jason Derülo. He was actually surprisingly good, he sang different songs from his new album and his older hits like It Girl. We had a fun night with friends at the concert, amazing performance and a nice atmosphere at the Heineken Music Hall.
